Just here for a good time

My German Christmas

Until this year I’d never been away from home for Christmas before, but luckily I was offered a spot (yet again) in the Ufer household. The last week was a great time for me to relax, catch up on some much needed sleep, and celebrate the holiday season with some of my favourite people! Germany is the epitome of Christmassy in the month of December, and I spent time in Berlin, Dresden, Munich, Frankfurt, and Idstein, happily drinking mulled wine and eating spätzle. On Christmas Eve we had a lovely fondu dinner and played card games until I skyped my family. It was great to be adopted by my Germans for Christmas, and just as nice to talk to my parents for the first time.

After resting for the week though I’m ready to move on. I left my growing shot glass collection with Jenny, and am ready for Budapest.
